How long does certification last?
Lifeguard certification through the American Red Cross is valid for 2 years.
What are the prerequisites?
You'll need to complete a pre-course swim test on day one — typically a 300-yard continuous swim, treading water with hands tucked, and a brick-retrieval skill. We'll send you the full prerequisite details with your registration confirmation.
How long is the course?
Course schedules vary by session. Most run across multiple consecutive days or weekends. Reach out for the next scheduled date.
What should I bring to class?
Swimsuit, towel, goggles, comfortable clothes for CPR skills practice, a photo ID, and your registration confirmation.
